This was one of the items I brought back with me:

Chanel Rouge Allure 136 Mélodieuse is part of the Notes Des Printemps Spring 2014 Collection.

Colour:
Vibrant coral red.

Pigmentation:
Very opaque and smooth as the rest of the Rouge Allure line.

Scent:
Distinct light vanilla scent of all Chanel lipsticks.

Verdict:
Beautiful colour that would be appropriate for day and night looks.
I plan to rock this in the office as I look forward to put my winter coats away in the Spring time.

I bought this from Nordstrom for $34 USD.

December 26-29, 2013, the boy and I went to Portland with our friends. We stayed at the same place again, The Nines, which I am still recommending. Club level was definitely sweet.
We caught the Clippers vs. Blazers game on the 26th, and pretty much shopped the rest of the days.

Here's my beauty loot.
My Beauty Diary (hyaluronic acid) sheet masks
Much needed during the super dry Canadian winters!
I did a full post dedicated to sheet masks.

Bioré nosestrips
HG. Generally, I use them once a week, as part of my Sunday routine. Love them.
I've been using them since my teen years, and will continue to repurchase them.

NUDE progenius treatment oil
Did not like it at all. Way too pungent. Way too oily...

Vasanti brightenup enzymatic face scrub
This was an old sample from a beauty box subscription. It lasted forever in my shower!
I actually really enjoyed it. Supposedly a papaya acid exfoliator?

REN micro polish cleanser
This tiny sample lasted forever in the shower. I used it 1-2 times a week for a few months and really liked the results. Its a hybrid of a chemical and physical exfoliant.
I repurchased the full size.

Lancome energie de vie cream
Really fragrant. I tossed it right away... My skin would've flamed up from the heavy fragrance.

Estée Lauder perfectionist CP+R
Really matte/siliconeish. It was nice, but I'm not willing to pay such a big pricetag for silicon ingredients.

Bumble and Bumble thickening shampoo & conditioner
Meh. Dried out my hair.

Origins clear improvement charcoal mask
I love this mask. I use it whenever I feel like my skin is feeling mucky or clogged. I wrote a full review post on this mask.
I'm holding out buying a new one for now, because I want to try the Aesop parsley seed masque.

Chanel correcteur perfection concealer in 20
This is my HG concealer; been since 2011 when I first started wearing concealer.
It's full coverage and works great underneath the eyes and on blemishes.
I'm curious on how the NARS creamy concealer compares... it appears very similar... No other concealer was even close to comparison worthiness until the NARS one came out this year. I'm mostly curious because the Chanel one is $40.

Cover Girl lashblast fusion mascara in blackest black water resistant (the purple one)
This was my HG mascara for yearsssss. Holds curl all day, no clumping, no spider lashes, volumizing, no smudging at all.

Gillette Satin Care shave gel
The sensitive skin one is my HG shave gel, but this alluring avocado one isn't bad either; smells great.

Simple cleansing facial wipe (25 count)
This is a repurchase! For those super late nights when I just want to use a quick wipe before washing my face.
The wipes are large, very nicely moistened (and stay moistened!), super soft, and gentle.
It didn't irritate and removed waterproof mascara with ease!

Organix teatree mint conditioner
I love this conditioner! It nourishes my hair without weighing it down.
The scent is like a sweet mint, which is nice. I like using this whenever my scalp is feeling a bit dry -- the combination of tea tree and mint seems to calm it.

Swisspers cotton ovals (50 count)
I got these from Target for $3. They're huge ovals, so I only need one to remove makeup from my entire face.

YSL cleansing water
It was meh. Didn't really remove makeup that well. Appeared to contain quite a lot of ingredients...

Caudalie vinoperfect radiance serum
I didn't feel like it really did much, even after finishing the entire bottle...
I wrote a full review on it.

Organix macadamia oil shampoo
It smells amazing, but was just ok in terms of conditioning and cleansing. Note that this is not one of their sulfate-free shampoos.

Tresemme heat protectant
I'm finally tossing this out because it's just sitting on my shelf wasting space...
I want to use it, but don't want to have to step into my bath tub everytime I use it (and then slip and fall when I shower)...
I wrote a full post on this product before.

I like the simplistic design behind the Caudalie brand.
The packaging serves a purpose; to inform without overwhelming the consumer.

I liked that the packaging showed visual instructions on the desired application, rather than just a single sentence on the side of the bottle. I used the serum as instructed.
Verdict:
Honestly, I have not noticed a difference in my hyperpigmentation. My smaller spots are still there, and my bigger spots are still as big. I will not be repurchasing this.

I have already repurchased my Clinique even better clinical dark spot corrector (my review). I've also purchased the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair II to try out.

The set was $50 CAD for a makeup bag and five lip pencils. I bought it during the VIB sale, and used Ebates, so I ended up paying ~$38 CAD.
If I were to consider the makeup bag as a gift with purchase, then these mini versions (containing 0.06 oz of product each) are about $8 CAD each. A full size version contains 0.08 oz of product, but costs $25 USD / $30 CAD each.
Here's a side by side comparison to the full size version of Dolce Vita.
As mentioned in that particular post, I had a 10% discount code and wanted to get the items at some discount before they sold out during the VIB.

I didn't really feel like hustling and bustling with the crowds after work, so I had a game plan to just order online. Plus, this way I would earn an extra 4% cash back through Ebates!

I have another trip to Portland coming up after Christmas, so I was very selective in the chosen items--US prices and no sales tax -- weeeee! I bought the items if the discounted price was either equivalent or lower than what I would pay in Portland; otherwise, they will be purchased in Portland ;)

So... as expected, the popular items sold out very quickly, so I wasn't able to snag up the Illamasqua cream pigment in Hollow :(

Shu Uemura eye lash curler $24 CAD

Any products that I should look at when I'm in Portland next month?
Verdict:
Thank goodness for a blogger/youtuber who isn't a marionette of major PR. I'm cool with blogger/youtubers working with PR, as long as they actually honour their statements about giving honest opinions. Nothing worse than being flat out lied to. *ChelseaWears fangirling*
Anyway, I LOVE this velvet matte line of lip pencils. The pencils make it super easy to define and fill my lips. I could see myself easily applying it both an inch away from the mirror (we all do it) and on the go in the car. This lip pencil makes my lips look super smooth and as if there isn't anything laying on top of my lips -- The colour somehow morphs into my lips.

I love this formulation so much that I took advantage of the Sephora VIB 20% sale and picked up it in Dolce Vita and the NARS x Guy Bourdin lip set.

Have you tried any of the NARS lip pencils?

Texture:

Scent:

Cost:
$49 US at Nordstrom. I got it for $34.50 US at CCO.

Verdict:
The colour payoff and pigmentation is great. It's super rich and creamy on the lips. The vanilla scent is nice but not sickening. BUT, there's no need to sweep the beauty aisles for this.
There is no way I'd pay $50 for a lipstick, no matter how beautiful it is... with that being said, $35 is mighty close to $40, and that is just ridiculous.
Sabrina (The Beauty Look Book) wrote a post on some TF pinky nudes, which included awesome swatches of Spanish Pink against TF's other pinks and nudes. I would recommend checking it out for some makeup porn, even if you're not willing to shell out cash for TF.
The palette is limited edition, and comes with three shades of Ambient Lighting Powders: Dim Light, Incandescent Light (limited edition), and Radiant Light.

These powders have been the hottest things since the original UD Naked palette... bloggers and youtubers are giddy and raving about the super technologies behind these powders that supposedly soft-focus and blur light as it appears on your face.

L-R: Dim Light, Incandescent Light (LE), Radiant Light

Hourglass describes the shades as such:
Dim Light: A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights the complexion.
Incandescent Light: An opalescent pearl powder that brightens the complexion with a celestial glow.
Radiant Light: A sun-kissed golden beige powder that enhances the complexion with believable, subtle warmth.

How do I use them:
Dim Light is a perfect match for my skin tone, so it's virtually non-existent on my skin. I use it as a finishing powder, whatever that means... haha.
I use Incandescent Light as a soft highlight down the bridge of my nose, cupid's bow, and just underneath my eyebrows.
Radiant light has a golden base, so I use it on the highs of my cheekbones, on top of Tarte Blissful (my review).
I apply all of these with the blush brush that came in my Holiday 2012 Carried Away with Tarte collection (my review).

Cost:
It's $58 US/67 CAD on Sephora.
I paid $57.62 CAD for it, with the 10% promotional email discount and 4% Ebates cashback ;)

Verdict:
These powders are nice, and definitely do soft-focus the lighting that hits your face, but it's nothing ground-breaking to the collective squeals.
I do enjoy the motion of sweeping luxurious powders though #whataddictssay ;)

Do you own any Ambient Lighting Powders? Did you pick up any during the Sephora F&F or VIB sales?
What do you think of them?

Bioré nosestrips
The nosestrips are HG. I usually use them once a week, as part of my Sunday routine. I've been busier nowadays, so I just try to use them whenever I have the time to. Love them.
I've been using them since my teen years, and will continue to repurchase them.

My Beauty Diary (hyaluronic acid) sheet mask
This hyaluronic acid one is good as the weather is getting very cold.
I did a full post dedicated to sheet masks.

Gillette venus embrace shaver
Good blades (5). Doesn't nick or scratch; glides well.

Bioderma sensibio h2o micellar solution (my review)
HG. My makeup remover. Also, use it to clean my face first thing in the morning, before I wash my face.

Up & Up exfoliating cotton rounds (100 count)
I bought these because Ingrid/Missglamorazzi included these in one of her monthly favourites videos (I don't remember which one, but it was earlier in the year). I hate them.
The cotton is loose, so it sheds all over my face and fingers.
The exfoliating bits are essentially raised bumps on one side of the cotton pad. They're are way too stiff and rough to use around my eyes.
They're small, so I end up using 3-4.

La Roche Posay effaclar duo
This is a cult product, but I don't love it as much anymore since their reformulation a year (2 years?) ago. I was just using it up, as my night moisturizer. This was my final back up.

La Roche Posay effaclar a.i. (review here)
My HG acne product. If you like the effaclar duo, this one will blow your mind. It's basically the crazy ass, beefed-up version of effaclar duo. It's a spot treatment that works great on both visible spots and spots in the making (even those under the skin volcanoes). If I feel like a spot is coming, I will generously apply to the area and it will be gone in the morning. Likewise, if I have an active volcanic spot, I will generously apply to it and the area around it, and it will be gone (or significantly reduced) in the morning. It dries quickly and matte.
It's a tiny 15mL tube, but it lasts for ages. This one lasted me almost nine months.

Philosophy purity made simple (an old review here)
I've been using this for a few years now, and it's been great as an in-shower makeup remover and face cleanser. I've had these two little travel bottles laying around for a bit (I usually refill them for travel), but since I won't be buying this face cleanser anymore, I had figured I'd finish up whatever is left in them and toss them out.
I'm aware that its ingredients aren't quite true to its name, so I'm just finishing up my 14.5oz backup bottle right now. The non-pure ingredients are unfortunate, because I love the creamy texture and it doesn't leave my skin tight or stripped.

Clean & Clear oil blotting sheets
This is the grapefruit scented one.
I love these plastic C&C ones over the flimsy powdery paper ones.

Jo Malone nectarine blossom & honey cologne sample (review here)
I love this scent -- I have the 30mL bottle of it, and love mixing it all of my other JM colognes.

Algenist with alguronic acid multi-perfecting pore corrector gel moisturizer
I think this sample came from a Nordstrom order.
It had a very nice light scent that was very enjoyable -- my fragrance sensitive skin didn't mind it.
It was very light and almost gel-like. Apparently, it's an oil-free product. It blended into the skin easily and quickly. It was a nice product, but I'm not really looking for a new day moisturizer. Also, I'm not sure how it can correct pores.

Sisley eye contour mask
This sample came from a Nordstrom order.
This product claims to reduce fine lines and puffiness. I kept this in refrigerator, so it felt awesome on application. It was a very thick translucent gel with a slight green tint. It didn't really absorb into the skin at all... but I did notice reduced puffiness (that could just be from the coldness though).

Blue Lagoon Iceland rich nourishing cream
This sample came from a Nordstrom order.
As a disclaimer, I will note that I am not a big fan of face creams in general (I like lotions and gels).
It was way too fragrant for my sensitive skin's liking, and was very thick.

Fresh lotus youth preserve face cream
Again, a disclaimer that I'm not a big fan of face creams.
I found this to have an odd scent -- can't really pinpoint on what it is.
This is a very thick cream... so, I didn't enjoy it.

Shu Uemura eyelash curler
I've had this eyelash curler for yearsssssssss, and for the last 1.5 years, it'd just been collecting dust. There was no way in hell I was going to risk pink eye, but I didn't want to toss it out either... anyway, the nostalgia needs to pass, and I'm saying goodbye. I am definitely going to repurchase it though -- It does wonders to my non-existent lashes! I think it was $19 CAD when I bought it...
This is quite the cult eye lash curler... Shiseido is well loved in the beauty <strike>community</strike> cult too, but I haven't tried it. Based on R's comparison of the two curlers, I think I'll just stick with Shu.

Elizabeth Arden mascara
It was meh... nothing special, and definitely not better than drugstore mascaras.

Benefit they're real mascara (review here)
I enjoyed it for maybe 5-6 wears, before it went super clumpy and dry.

Physician's Formula eye booster eyelash enhancer
This is supposed to provide vitamins and supplements to eyelashes to encourage growth. I didn't notice any significant growth...

Sephora brow tint in dark
This is ancient... It's an awesome brow tint that lasts forever and doesn't dry out.
It has a flexible felt tip (similar to a liquid eyeliner tip).

Maybelline the rocket mascara in black
This was pretty awesome. It's a non-waterproof mascara that is almost impossible to remove.
I did find that it wasn't great at separation, which is why I won't be repurchasing.
It was super cheap when I bought it (I think $5 CAD?) because it had just been released and was on promotion.

Dove damage therapy daily moisture shampoo

I love this shampoo! My HG -- the exact amount of moisture for daily shampooing (as in its name), no build up, no crazy slip, no dry out.

Johnson's baby wipes
I bought this when I was in Shanghai and Taiwan last November. I love baby wipes because they're almost always fragrance-free and contain less ingredients.
This package has a fragrance, so I don't use it as a makeup wipe.
I've been using it as a feminine wipe.

Again, always so satisfying to use up products... especially since I'm such a hoarder.

What have you finished lately?

I had initially heard about it through Chelsea from Chelsea Wears (her Ebates post).
Chelsea is quite the homegirl -- She has great style and taste. She likes the $$$ items, but will share how she saved a fraction of the costs through sales or codes like Ebates.
C'mon, if we're all going to continue to feed our sicknesses, might as well burn a little less dough while at it!

Now, whenever I shop online, I always check whether or not I could save more money by going through Ebates. I advocate it to all of my friends... by ways of bursting aloud "DID YOU USE EBATES ON THAT SH*T?!"... (I'm referring to all of the instances of my poor boyfriend telling me that he's making another Chapters Indigo book purchase). You'd think I worked for them or something (I don't).

How does it work?
Affiliate links are everywhere (think about all of those Sigma ones on YouTube), but when you purchase through those links, you don't receive a cut of the revenue -- It goes to Ingrid (sorry R... lol), or whomever.
Ebates shares the cut with you when you click through their affiliate link -- This explains the cash back percentages. The percentages range from 1% upwards (A few months ago, Nordstrom, Neimans, Saks all had 15% cash back)! For example, if I make a $100 purchase at Sephora, and the Ebates cash back percentage for Sephora is 4%, then I would receive $4 from Ebates for my Sephora purchase. This $4 is also independent of any additional savings I may already have from other coupons or codes!

Ebates.com has over 1500 retailers enlisted, and is awesome.
If you're Canadian, sign up with Ebates.com, rather than Ebates.ca.
Ebates.ca has significantly fewer retailers, and the cash back percentages for the same retailers are much lower -- Just use Ebates.com.

I've been a user of Ebates.com since early 2012, and have received about $50 in cash back cheques. If you're an avid online shopper, you definitely need Ebates. If shipping costs are your worry, many stores allow you to ship free to a physical store for pick up too -- It'd be like you bought from the actual store, except you would enjoy even more savings!

With the holidays coming up, I figured I would share this money-saving tip with everyone.
If you do decide to sign up, I would really appreciate it if you did through my referral link. I am not affiliated with Ebates, and am not sponsored by them. If you sign up through my referral link, I will receive up to $5.

Happy Shopping!
They were all over the UK blogs and channels, and then eventually some of the American ones. (Note: They're called Apocalips in the UK and Canada, but Show Off in the US).

After much swatching and hmmm...uhhh... at the Shoppers Drug Mart counter, I ended up picking 101 Celestial, for now.

Packaging:

Unlike most lip products in the drugstore, this was very well sealed. There was a plastic, cellophane wrap all around the tube, and the barcode sticker was also a seal.
The coolest feature was this weird vacuum/air-tight funnel-like thing... I don't even know what to call it, haha. See my progressive photos below -- As you pull the wand out of the tube, the lip lacquer fills the clear portion of the tube -- A great way to know whether the packaging has been opened!
I'm not sure if I would've even noticed it if it weren't for PetitePearStyle's review (Side note: check her out! she is very informative and provides great reviews)

I really like the doe foot applicator! As you can see below, the bottom is slightly concave, such that the perfect amount of product is collected for application to the lips. The point of the applicator is also great for accuracy at the cupid's bow and around the edges.

Scent:

It's very, very light. A bit floral, a bit fruity... hard to pinpoint the exact scent, but it reminds me a bit of the YSL scent, but much lighter.

Colour:

I was having a hard time deciding between Luna and Celestial, as they were very similar. I ended up picking Celestial, because it is more pink toned, whereas Luna is more peach toned.
Celestial is a very wearable pinky mauve colour, that would be flattering across a variety of skin tones. I think it would be appropriate for any season -- I'm looking forward to rocking it now, as the weather has cooled down significantly.

Texture:

It's not a lipstick, nor a lip gloss.
This is basically a liquid lipstick, without gloop. Yes, that's a technical term.

Price:

I bought this for $7.49 CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart. I have seen them at London Drugs, as well.
They're regularly priced at $8.99 CAD.

Verdict:

Very opaque.
Not sticky at all.
Doesn't settle into lip lines.
Glossy, but not pornstar-like.
No feathering.
LOVE.LOVE.LOVE.

I have not tried the YSL Glossy Stains, nor the Hourglass Opaque Liquid Lipsticks, but I would consider these Apocalips/Show Off lip lacquers as a much more reasonable alternative!

I've definitely got my eyes on Luna, Stellar, Big Bang... and Nova, if I'm feeling really girly.

Have you tried any of these Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers? Or, any lip lacquers/liquid lipsticks/glossy stains?
Beautiful coral red. It's a lot more muted as a swatch than the bullet. Very wearable; not as bright as it appears.

Bought this from T Galleria in Waikiki, Hawaii for $30 duty free (woop!)

I wore this for my birthday, and it was perfect.

Highly recommend.

This was definitely on my wishlist prior to going to Hawaii. All of the countless reviews and swatches by bloggers were making me salivate.

I saw the Tom Ford counter inside the T Galleria in Waikiki, swatched the palette, and happily paid $60 (duty free, tax free)!

Left Shadow:
Light peachy nude. Matte.

Middle Shadow:
Satin peach. Very fine shimmer.

Right Shadow:
Peachy sparkle. Bigger glitter particles.

All were soft and not chalky. They weren't Urban-Decay-buttery (yea, it's an adjective), but definitely smooth and very fine.

Verdict:
No duds/rejects in this trio. I love all three colours, and they look great together.
I'm not a fan of pink eye shadows... pink + hooded eyes = pink eye
but, this trio leans more peach than pink, and is more muted, which ends up being very flattering.
Go pick it up quick -- It's limited edition.

I managed to find it at a Target in Chicago in March. I was so excited to find it, that I had forgotten the bloggers/YouTubers had mentioned that it was reformulated and actually sucks now...

Scent: Very light citrus herbal
Texture: Balmy; thick; greasy

How I used it:
You're supposed to use this on dry skin. I took a small amount and rubbed it in between my palms. I massaged it over my face after I had removed makeup (as a double cleanse). Then, I ran the enclosed cloth under hot water, squeeze out the water, and use the cloth to wipe off the balm from my face.

Verdict: I hated it so much. My skin didn't feel any cleaner or better. It just made my skin feel clogged and sticky. After a few hours, my face was secreting oil like crazy.
I've only used this product maybe five times, but just going straight into the garbage. I cannot even pass this on to a friend -- it's that horrible.
I did a full post dedicated to sheet masks, including these two.

Bioré nosestrips
HG. I use them once a week, as part of my Sunday routine. Love them.
I've been using them since my teen years, and will continue to repurchase them.

Blue Lagoon Iceland algae mask
It's a generous 0.3 oz sample -- 1.7 oz is $100!
This green goopy mask... smelled really plastic.
My skin was super oily afterwards and the next day. Kinda hated it.

Fresh black tea age-delay cream with collagen-boosting lychee
I'm not a fan of creams, and this one didn't change my opinion on them. It was thick and oily. Only made my face a greaseball.

Arcon magic white ice hydrate
I got this from a Nordstrom order. It was a generous 0.08 oz sample, considering 1 oz is $40.
This gel claims to moisturize with white cranberry complex and hyaluronic acid, neutralize with vitamin B-5 and E, and clarify with antibacterial totara extract.
It's super light, non-sticky, and absorbs super quickly... This was in the fridge so it felt amazing on.
I won't be purchasing it though, because the floral scent is too strong for me. I might've if it wasn't so pungent. I could still smell it hours after application!

Philosophy cinnamon buns shower gel/shampoo/bubble bath
Smells like spice and baked cinnamon, which was nice. It dried my body out though.

Bumble & bumble super rich conditioner
Felt nice. Nothing too special.

Bumble & bumble gentle shampoo
Felt nice. Nothing too special.

Burt's Bees radiance serum
I've had this bottle for a while. I used it nightly and then stopped, so I figured I would de-clutter and just finish it.
It's 99.86% natural and royal jelly is the third ingredient in quantitative order.

Korres milk proteins 3 in 1 cleaning, toning and eye make-up removing emulsion
It's milky and very liquidy. It's gentle, but doesn't remove makeup that well.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer spf 20
I got the sample in nude, which was too yellow and dark for me.

Laura Mercier foundation primer
It felt silicony. I don't wear foundation, so I can't really speak to its last and hold of foundation...
It was ok under concealer.

Chanel ultra correction line repair spf 15
Nice and light anti-wrinkle day cream. 1.7 oz for $125 though... dang.

La Roche-Posay physiological ultra-fine scrub
It was ok... the scrubbing beads were quite fine, as claimed.

Bath & Body Works fresh picked apple hand cream
It smells really nice -- I'm a big fan of apple scents.
Non greasy and dries quick.

Jo Malone orange blossom
I love the scent of orange blossoms. I actually bought the 100 mL of this after I finished it.

Jo Malone white jasmine & mint
This was a sweet scent, so I used it as a bedroom spray. The last time I sprayed it was two weeks ago, but I feel like I can still smell it once in a while, which is amazing.

Swisspers cotton ovals (50 count)
I got these from Target for $3. They're huge ovals, so I only need one to remove makeup from my entire face.

Bioderma Sébium pore refiner
I love this product so much. It's my HG Summer moisturizer, and my year long T-zone mattifyer.
I have an old blog post dedicated to this product.

Clinique liquid facial soap mild
It's super drying, but I had the perfect use for it. I use this to wash my nose and around my nose prior to applying a Bioré nose strip -- It makes quite the difference!

Pond's cleansing and exfoliating towelettes (25 count)
Love the citrus scent. The towelettes were large, wet, and stayed wet until my very last one.
They remove makeup very well. There's a slight film.

Neutrogena ultra sheer body mist sunscreen
If you've followed me for a little bit, you'll know that I'm super sensitive to the sun, so I take sun protection to the next level (read: neurotic)... This is one of my all time favourite body sunscreens. I have a blog post on all of my body sun protection products.
This bottle was used up within Canada this Summer. Another bottle was finished during my recent Hawaii trip.

Lush tea tree water
I got this bottle last Summer, and I finally finished it this year, just before the expiry date.
It's super refreshing and mists very fine. I'll probably purchase another bottle next Summer.

L'Oréal ever sleek sulfate-free smoothing shampoo
This was horrible in the beginning as I'm used to super frothy and lathering shampoos. It grew on me, and I was enjoying it as it was finishing up. I may repurchase in the future.

Redken all soft shampoo
This was all the craze over YouTube a few months ago... and of course, I was interested. I bought this when I was in Chicago in March. It's very moisturizing and did actually make my hair very soft.

Organix nourishing shea butter shampoo
I love this shampoo. It makes my hair so smooth, shiny, and clean. The shea butter scent isn't too sickenly sweet, but it lasts in my hair all day.
I love it so much, I have four backups in my bathroom ;)

Boots botanics hot cloth cleansing balm
The famous hot cloth cleansing balm that was circulating the UK beauty bloggers/YouTubers community a year ago.
I managed to find it at a Target in Chicago in March. I was so excited to find it, that I had forgotten the bloggers/YouTubers had mentioned that it was reformulated and actually sucks now...
I tried it and hated it so much. This isn't finished, but just going straight into the garbage. I cannot even pass this on to a friend -- it's that horrible.

If you're still reading, thank you so much!
As if the above list wasn't long enough, I had finished a few products and discarded them in Hawaii, so they're not in the picture. I have to mention one of them though:

Simple cleansing facial wipe (25 count)
The wipes are large, very nicely moistened (and stay moistened!), super soft, and gentle.
It didn't irritate and removed waterproof mascara with ease!

Thanks for reading! Please let me know if you've recently finished anything that you love or hate.
Being quite the avid face and body scrubber, I was always intrigued to try it...
But... at $21.95 CAD for 120g (and $35.95 for 250g), the price point was always a huge deterrent. The idea of rubbing salt crystals on my body (hell no, on my face) scared me a little... and if I ended up hating the product, I didn't want to have wasted $20 minimum!

When I went into LUSH a month--or, maybe it was two months ago--for a new tub of Love Lettuce (my review), I was really good with the usual polite declines of Do you need anything else? Do you need a new cleanser to go with your Love Lettuce?... until, I was at the till. DAMN YOU PLACED-NEXT-TO-CASH REGISTER-IMPULSE-BUYS!
I was sold on this 'Beach Box' summer promotion... Honestly, I was just sold on the fact that there was a small tub of Ocean Salt to try out haha... The Beach Box was $29.95 and came with a chuckload of stuff.

Colour: this really pretty swirl of blue-green... chlorine-like haha

Scent: fresh, with light citrus

Texture: bigger salt crystals at the surface of the tub (as shown in above photo), and finer crystals at the bottom of the tub

Verdict: It was a meh scrub--I didn't find my skin particularly smoother or softer afterwards. Mostly, it just dried out my skin... usually, I don't have to moisturize my body after a scrub, but my skin was super tight and a bit scaly with Ocean Salt. I wouldn't re-purchase this.
Shall we take a moment to just collect ourselves?

I always eyed up Dior lipsticks... several moments have almost persuaded me enough to buy:
TTSandra's first blog posts were probably the first moments... and then there was when R incepted me with her claim that the Addict Extreme line being absolutely amazing; possibly better than Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine line... but I never did buy, until now.

During the months, I've finished a ton of products... so, I figured I would return with an Empties post. My last empties post was in June!

Dove damage therapy daily moisture shampoo

My HG!

Organix Renewing moroccan argan oil intense moisturizing treatment (my review)

I liked it, and it made my hair feel nice, but nothing too special.

The Body Shop shower gels for earth lovers in lemon and thyme

It's part of their new hippie line (biodegradeable, no parabens, no sulphates, etc.) It smells amazing. It's a bit drying. I only used 3/4 of it, because I think it broke me out -- I got body acne for the first time in my life, and it was the only new product that I was using on my body.

Gillette Satin Care sensitive skin shave gel
This one has Olay oils or something like that... I didn't really notice anything different with it. I prefer the regular sensitive skin one.

The Body Shop olive body scrub
I love the body shop's body scrubs! This olive scent is very fresh and a tiny bit herb-y. Definitely smells like a fresh olive branch; thankfully, not like the marinated ones that you would eat, haha.

LUSH love lettuce fresh face mask (my review)
HG. My 9th and 10th ones.
I will continue to repurchase it.

LUSH ocean salt
Smells citrus-y. It has both fine and coarse sea salt bits for scrubbing.
It's nice, but nothing special. It's super expensive too!
I prefer the body shop ones.

L'OCCITANE hand cream in cherry princess
This was a limited edition scent, that's a lighter and fruity version of the cherry blossom one.

Cover Girl lashblast fusion mascara in blackest black water resistant (the purple one)
My HG mascara for yearsssss. Hold curl all day, no clumping, no spider lashes, volumizing, no smudging at all.

Cover Girl lashblast clump crusher in black water resistant (the green one)
This MAY have surpassed the CG lashblast fusion one!!! I find this does the same thing the fusion does, except the curled wand gives my lashes just a bit more curl and lift. When I finish my backups of the fusion one, I'll pick up the clump crusher again.

BUXOM buxom lash in black
This is a super old one... I'm talking maybe over a year old... found it the other day, and actually still looks good to use, but obviously, I wasn't about to risk pink eye.
I used to love this one... but I just cannot justify paying $20+ for a mascara. I think it used to be $20 at Sephora -- it's now $24.

NARS smudgeproof eyeshadow base
My HG eyeshadow primer. I believe it's silicone based; feels like it. It keeps my eyeshadow (powder and cream) in place and crease-less all day -- even those super long days at work!

Bioré nosestrips
The nosestrips are HG. I use them once a week, as part of my Sunday routine. Love them.
I've been using them since my teen years, and will continue to repurchase them.

Crest whitestrips
I use these on and off, depending on how sensitive my teeth are at the time.
I always see results though.

Sensodyne toothpaste
My go-to toothpaste because I have sensitive teeth. I definitely notice a difference when I use other brands.

Bumble & Bumble surf shampoo and conditioner
I received these samples with my last Sephora online order.
They did give me beachy looking hair, like I had salt spray in it.
It's not right for me though -- I'm more of a polished and smooth hair type of girl.

Burt's Bees after sun soother
This is my HG after sun / sun burn remedy. It gives instant relief to the redness and pain.
I have vampire skin (minus the glitter); in other words: super thin, super pale (read: fluorescent), easily flushed/red, hyper sensitive skin.
I burn very easily and quickly, so I'm a bit crazy when it comes to sun protection... post 1 and post 2.

Gillette venus embrace shaver
I've been using this shaver for a few years. Good blades (5). Doesn't nick or scratch. I think a disposable head lasts me about three months.

Clean & Clear oil blotting sheets
The blue is regular one, and the pink is the grapefruit scented one.
Yup, I went through 3 packs... what can I say... it's Summer.
I love these plastic C&C ones over the flimsy powdery paper ones.

My Beauty Diary (hyaluronic acid, mexico cactus) sheet masks
Loved them all.
I did a full post dedicated to sheet masks.

Quo wedge makeup sponges
Quo is the house brand of Shoppers Drug Mart (Canadian drugstore). I use these to apply my concealer.

La Roche Posay effaclar duo
This is a cult product, but I don't love it as much anymore since their reformulation a year (2 years?) ago. I'm just using it up, as my night moisturizer.

Bioderma sébium pore refiner (my review)
My HG Summer moisturizer. It works great underneath makeup. I wear this on my T-zone (forehead, nose & sides, and chin), where I tend to get oily.
